Daybreak Red (GPT-5.6 Cyber) in AWS GovCloud (US-East)
OpenAI's Daybreak Red, powered by GPT-5.6 Cyber, is available to approved customers in AWS GovCloud (US-East) through Amazon Bedrock for authorized cybersecurity work.
Daybreak models were already on Amazon Bedrock, and this extends GPT-5.6 Cyber to the GovCloud (US-East) region for government security teams. It supports authorized vulnerability research, exploit validation, security testing and mitigation development. Verified defenders get fewer refusals on these tasks, with stronger identity verification, monitoring and access controls.

Access needs Daybreak Red approval and separate AWS provisioning. AWS posted the announcement on 2026-10-30 and OpenAI posted on 2026-11-04. On Bedrock, inference data is not used to train models.
