Mistral Large 4 (Le Chonk)
Mistral released the weights of Mistral Large 4 (Le Chonk), a 1-trillion-parameter multimodal model aimed at agentic coding and cybersecurity.
The model entered public preview earlier this month and then received three more weeks of reinforcement learning. Mistral says it now leads open-weight models on FrontierCode and Terminal-Bench and matches the best on the Artificial Analysis Coding Agent Index with better token efficiency. It offers three reasoning modes to balance cost and performance.
