Gemini agent
Google Cloud announced the Gemini agent at Gemini at Work 2026. It is a single universal work agent that runs in the cloud and works inside Workspace apps.
Google presents one agent for knowledge work, questions, content creation and coding from a single prompt box. It plans tasks, uses tools, coordinates other agents, can run on schedules or event triggers, and keeps working in the cloud when a laptop is closed. In Workspace, users can create collaborator agents with their own account, email, calendar and Drive. Google adds agent identities, role-based permissions, audit logs, sandboxing, an Agent Gateway and per-project spend caps. It also adds model routing across Google and Anthropic Claude models.

This is the enterprise Gemini agent from Google Cloud, separate from the consumer Gemini Spark of May 2026 that already has a record. The pages do not call it Spark, and they give no general release date, plans or pricing.
