Connected Apps Platform
Google launched the Connected Apps Platform in U.S. beta, letting any business or developer submit apps that work inside Gemini and Google Search.
Connected apps were introduced in Gemini and Search earlier this year, but only with selected partners. Developers can now integrate a cloud-hosted MCP server or Android MCP through the AppFunctions APIs, then register, test and submit the app in the Google Connected Console. They can choose Search, the Gemini app or both, and track traffic, latency and error rates.
