Google AI Edge Foresight
Google released Google AI Edge Foresight, a free experimental Mac app that transcribes meetings and writes notes fully offline using on-device models.
Foresight is a Granola-style note-taker with a split view for shorthand notes and AI-generated notes, a transcript view and a built-in assistant for questions. It runs on-device with EmbeddingGemma 2 (740 million parameters per TechCrunch), and TechCrunch says the assistant is powered by Gemma 4. Users can add PDFs, Google Docs, Office files, text, Markdown and bookmarks as a local knowledge base, and Google says files, audio and notes never leave the computer.
