Agent Compute Engine

Google Cloud announced Agent Compute Engine, a compute service that gives each AI agent session its own hardware-isolated microVM that holds no backend credentials.

Each agent session runs in a microVM with its own guest kernel, root access and Hyperdisk, instead of a container. Credentials are injected on the wire by Google's Titanium Infrastructure Processing Unit, which holds the attestation keys outside the guest, so a prompt injection attacker finds no secrets in the sandbox. Google says it already powers Gemini as an agent for work tasks.
