GitHub Copilot Fusion
GitHub says Copilot Fusion, a system that picks models and orchestrates them for coding tasks, is now generally available, alongside a release of the GitHub Copilot app.
Copilot Fusion handles model selection and orchestration for coding tasks so developers don't have to choose models themselves. It combines the runtime model orchestration from Project HydraFusion with Copilot Auto Model Selection. GitHub says Fusion Max matched Claude Code with Opus 5.5 Max on benchmarks at about half the average API cost and in about 40% less time per task. It was announced at GitHub Universe in San Francisco.
