Search and Fetch APIs

DeepSeek added standalone Search and Fetch endpoints to its API, each priced at 5 yuan per 1,000 successful requests and limited to 5 queries per second per account.

Search queries the web and returns structured results with a snippet, a model-readable summary, a rerank score and an authority rating. Fetch retrieves one URL and returns the title and a Markdown body. Agent and RAG apps can get live web content without a third-party search provider. Only successful calls are billed, and Search calls from Claude Code's Web Search tool or Codex's web_search are free for the first two weeks.
