Canva Craft
Canva released Canva Craft, its first in-house image generation model, built by its research team and available to all users in the Dream Lab tab.
Craft works in two stages. It first plans the image, covering object layout, relative scale, visual hierarchy and text data, and then generates images up to 2K resolution in 30 aspect ratios. Canva trained it on human-made design templates from its library, such as posters, presentations, infographics and menus, instead of photographs. Individual elements can be edited without changing the rest of the image.

Canva plans API access, support in ChatGPT and Gemini through its MCP, and cheaper Craftfast and Craft-ultrafast versions soon.
